I’m Victoria Marshal the author of Bookended by Beauty Queens, which is my first book and very dear to my heart.
I write, because I want to entertain people. I once attended a writing workshop where I was told (after making the above statement) that I wasn’t “thinking globally enough.” WTF – does that mean? Is there anything more universal or global than the need to be entertained?
I don’t think so.
What I hope to accomplish with my writing is to take you, Dear Reader, out of your life for awhile. I want to give you some time to forget that the bills are due, the kids need braces, the water heater just broke, and your job sucks (so does my day job by the way). I can relate to all of these things and I know that being lost in a book is cathartic in a way you just can’t get anywhere else.
So welcome! Relax. Download, or open, a book and escape with me for a little bit into a world where we are guaranteed a happy ending no matter what happens to us along our journey.
